After 23 years in a senior marketing position at Bell Canada, I decided it was time for a career change. Real Estate had always fascinated me so my decision to pursue this business has proven to be best thing I have ever done. Within the first year, I became an award winning realtor and have continued to see healthy growth year over year. I have never looked back and I never plan to. I have approached my real estate career with the same vigor and commitment that I approached my corporate career. I pride myself on my caring attitude and business savvy.
I have been full time in real estate professional since 2005. I became a Real Estate Broker in early 2010. The additional education that was required to learn was both interesting and challenging and I continue to share that increased knowledge with my clients an colleagues.
In 2018 I became a Certified International Property Specialist. This places me amongst 4,000 elite real estate professionals in over 45 countries. The designation was awarded to me by the National Association of REALTORS® for completing rigorous coursework devoted to learning international real estate practices and demonstrating proficiency in international business.
The CIPS designation is synonymous with advanced expertise, a global perspective, and a distinct understanding of a global buyer. As a designee, I have the knowledge and resources to efficiently work with international buyers, including Canadian residents looking to invest overseas, foreign buyers purchasing in Canada, as well as recent immigrants who might be unfamiliar with real estate transaction practices in Canada. The network created within this community of CIPS designees has proven to be invaluable. We get many overseas Buyers looking for vacation properties and investment opportunities. It is yet another platform to advertise unique property opportunities. I have three other folks on my team that speak French, Mandarin, Russian and Arabic. These realtors really help me when I need a translator.
Further, something near and dear to my heart is working with the mature market. I am an Accredited Senior Agent, a member of The Society of Accredited Senior Agents. This designation signifies that I have achieved the certification requirements to council people that are approaching the age of 55 or older and their families. I am a Project Manager of a full services package that allows me to connect a client with all the services one may need once a decision for a change is made. I help people look at their options and opportunities when it comes to property, prosperity and life. So many of us are at that stage in our lives where we are starting to think of what to do with our family home. Our kids have grown and moved away yet we cherish our memories and still need the space occasionally. We continue to ask ourselves should I stay or should I go? Where do I want to live? What do I do with all my stuff? Should I renovate to make things more comfortable or should I sell and find something more suitable? Can I hire the services I require versus having to do everything myself? Do I sell and rent or do I sell and buy? Do I move to a condo or a smaller home? My kids live out of town, how am I going to arrange all this? I have a full service package to accommodate these needs. I can help make the transition a smooth one.
